Yoga Teacher Training – Weekly Wisdom
One of the most enjoyable parts of the Yoga Teacher Training has been the wisdom imparted on us by the Santosha teachers who found their wisdom through their teachers, who found their wisdom through their teachers, and so on and so forth. Getting to participate in this transition of material has been an honor and I wanted to share some with you. These are not direct quotes but rather ideas for you to consider.
We are here to give, not to get.
Never forget we are here to give ourselves to this life; the good and the bad. Giving is what leads to connection and fulfilment and creates the human experience. Give well and give often and you’ll see you’ll get more than you give.
Expectation is the root of human suffering.
Sometimes the concept of lacking expectations brings a negative connotation of never meeting or fulfilling needs. But removing expectations is really about accepting things as they are, not what they were or will be.
The spiritual path is a path of unlearning.
This goes back to the concept of “the more you learn, the less you know.” Approaching life with curiosity is the best way to see things in their pure form. No matter what your spirituality is or isn’t, keep it simple and keep it growing.
We are so lucky to have Elizabeth of The Flexible Yogi as our guest blogger for our June Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training! She will be sharing the process from packing to graduating – and everything in between. Thank you Elizabeth and we look forward to sharing this journey with you 🙂
