“You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes every day—unless you’re too busy. Then you should sit for an hour.” –
Meditation as a life practice and integral part of our yoga practice, is a transformational tool with myriad benefits to enhance our daily lives, to promote increased health, happiness, well-being and tranquility.
Practicing meditation takes patience and consistency. However, the rewards of meditation and relaxation are profound. Carefully paying attention to our whole selves, including those parts we have judged as good or bad, allows us to begin to accept all parts of ourselves. Meditation gives us an anchor to harness our minds, instead of allowing our thoughts to control us.
You will come away with increased knowledge, improved teaching skills, a devoted meditation practice, an enlightened sense of awareness, a deeper connection to your inner self and a rejuvenated connection to your sense of self. You will know how to lead and practice meditation intelligently with grace, integrity, sensitivity and with a passion that stems from a true understanding of the meaning of Yoga.
Sharing the practice of meditation is a joy and a privilege adding greatly to your Yoga Teaching toolkit.. The experience developed throughout this course will enable Teachers to guide their students through a variety of meditations as part of their Yoga classes, in full length meditation classes, as part of workshops and retreats.

Piera was raised living between Switzerland and New Zealand. She came into this world with a love for movement and started dancing already in her childhood, finding that movement was one of her portals to connect to her core, to her soul.
After 3 years of training in Switzerland she graduated in 2009 as Exercise Educator (Movement and Dance Teacher) including Therapeutic Gymnastics with emphasis on Anatomy and Physiology. In early 2012 she opened her Movement Studio in Kaikoura, NZ – sharing her passion with the vision of welcoming any form of movement, self-expression and self-explorative styles.
Since that time Piera has been teaching yoga and a wide range of movement, body and breath awareness classes to all walks of life. One of her most rewarding work has been one on one with traumatised teenagers/young adults.
Piera completed her RYT-500Certified Yoga Instructor with Santosha, she is also certified in Yin Yoga and has completed extensive training on Meditation and Mindfulness as well as being a is a Reiki and Massage Therapist.
As much as she loves all forms of movement, she finds meditation is the key for her wellbeing and a non-negotiable part of her daily practice.
Her meditation practice started many years ago and has guided her to a deeper connection to herself and so with her surrounding.
For her it is most rewarding to guide people into their depth and support them into their own healing capacity through yoga, movement and stillness, leading them towards their own alignment and potential.
